Announcing Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight

And seeking advanced readers

I am about to release my next book, a fairytale fantasy called Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight. The e-book version is currently available for preorder, with a release date at the end of August.

I’m trying to release this book with a little more preparation and buildup than I did with The Wistful and the Good, for which I just pressed Publish with no build up at all. I’m still learning this stuff.

Part of trying to do this properly (or a little closer to it) is seeking advanced readers who will agree to read the book ahead of release and write a review. I’m happy to offer a free e-book version of Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight the first 20 of my subscribers who will agree to write a review. When Isabel kills the Elf Knight and takes his horse, sword, and horn, she believes that she has done just work. She has broken his enchantment and has rid the twelve kingdoms of a great evil. Horrocks' advice to lay down the Elf Knight's tools falls on deaf ears.

But something old is waking in Isabel, something that longs for the gallop and the chase, for bright sun and the rush of wind against the cheek, for glimmering steel and bright blood and the dying of light in the eyes of the slain.

Without the Elf Knight's sword at her side, Isabel feels lost and terrified, but after almost murdering the man she is supposed to marry, she realizes that either she must put the Elf Knight's tools aside or exile herself forever. But already it may be too late, for Isabel is losing herself and within her the Elf Maiden grows in strength and fury.

While we are on the subject of reviews, I would really appreciate it if any of you were willing to write a review of The Wistful and the Good. Oh, and if you are waiting for book two of Cuthbert’s People (The Wistful and the Good being book one of that series) you won’t have to wait too long. I will be preparing St. Agnes and the Selkie for publication as soon as I have Lady Isabel and the Elf Knight properly launched.
